NEW SUMMER COLLECTIONS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

On Sunday 5 and Monday 6 September, shoe retailers all gather in Trade Mart Brussels for the half-yearly Shoe Show. For the branch, it’s the ideal moment to discover the new spring-summer 2011 shoe collections.

Three weeks later on, during the Purchasing Days Shoes on Sunday 26 and Monday 27 September, the shoe sector assembles again in Trade Mart Brussel. These two days, all visitors and exhibitors focus on selecting and ordering the shoes that will bring out the sun next summer.

130 exhibitors in the shoes department representing over 650 brands.

Those wanting to discover all these splendid collections, surely plan a visit of more than one day. For more inspiration during these 4 days, there are as always the exhibitors in the Brighton and Boston rooms : definitely worth while visiting.

When assembling the new collections, most retailers gather information on the global trends that will determine what fashion looks like next season. To simplify this task, Trade Mart Brussels publishes a handy summary of the most marketable trends that can be expected for spring-summer 2011. Later on, this information can also be used on the shop floor to give the right style advice to the customers.
For composing these trends, Trade Mart Brussels works together with fashion journalist Lut Clincke. Her name is well-known in the fashion world and regularly appears in the major professional magazines as well as renowned newspapers.
This trend information will be sent digitally to all shoe retailers and will also be available on this site as a fluid book (as of 27 August).

RELAXING WITH A DELICIOUS GLASS OF BUBBLES

Composing the right collection is often a very intensive activity. In order to give the visitors the possibility to relax between times, a number of exhibitors offers their clients a delicious glass of sparkling champagne during the Shoe Show and Shoe Buying Days. There are two champagne bars, one on the B-level and one on the E-level.
